Oh to be 21 Again...

This is for my sis-in-law's 21st birthday. I love the impact this cake makes, and it really isn't hard at all. I learned a new method of bow making, including the new found love of my pasta machine, and it makes it so much easier!

This cake was for the big brother of the puppy cake below. Once again, the fantastic photography was by Anna-Karin Skillen (www.annakarinsphotography.com) I love making cakes for her. She just tells me the theme and lets me run with it.

How much is that doggy in the window?

My photographer and friend, Anna-Karin (http://www.annakarinsphotography.com/), asked me to make a puppy cake for her little boy Max who was turning six. This is what I came up with, and I think he liked it! (She took the pic too, I wish I could have all my cakes professionally photographed)

Love Songs

This guitar cake was the groom's cake for the wedding cake in the previous post. It made my day when the bride said everyone thought the groom had brought his guitar and was going to sing her a song!

Wedding Season

This was a wedding cake I did for a girl who actually saw my cakes on Facebook. I went to school with her sister-in-law. I'm not gonna lie, it was a tough cake to make, but I was pleased with the outcome. The pearl border is handmade white chocolate pearls and the topper is a handmade gumpaste monogram.

Thank You Cakes

The church where I grew up did a thank you reception for the Sunday School teachers. I made this cake along with cupcakes for the kids. You can't see it really well, but there was a gumpaste cross on top. Very special cake for me to make...

Babies Babies Everywhere

I swear I think there's something in the water around here. I have had 3 friends give birth in the last week, 4 more within the last month, and a couple more still baking. That being said, this was a baby shower cake for a friend of a friend. Obviously made to match the invitation. First time using chocolate fondant, I really liked it!
